The Atherton Tablelands Visitor's Guide has been designed to provide you with a little history and information about where to stay and what to see and do on the Atherton Tablelands.
On this site you will find information about Millaa Millaa, Malanda, Ravenshoe, Herberton, the lakes (Tinaroo, Lake Eacham, Lake Barrine), Yungaburra, Tolga, Mareeba, Chillagoe and Atherton itself.

Herberton is a pretty little town set in the rolling hills of the Atherton Tablelands.
Located 122 km from Cairns and 915 metres above sea level it is now a quiet town with a population of about 1500. There are only hints that it was once the most important mining town on the Tablelands. |

Yungaburra's central location to the crater lakes and Lake Tinaroo make it the ideal focal point for any visitor interested in recreational activities including sailing, boating, swimming, canoeing, bush-walking, water-skiing and sail boarding.

Located near Lake Tinaroo, Tolga presents a quaint little town that has good examples of early Queensland architecture. These include the Tolga butcher shop and newsagency building.
