
Matthew McConaughey & Kate Hudson star in 'Fools Gold' Movie

Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson are set to star in the adventure comedy, Fool's Gold for Warner Bros, with filming done right here in Port Douglas.
The pair is reteaming for the movie; they last starred in the 2003 romantic comedy, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days; in this film, directed by Andy Tennant, McConaughey and Hudson play married treasure hunters whose eight-year search for booty leaves them broke and out of gas. Variety adds just as they divorce, they stumble upon a missing clue that might lead them to a fortune.
The studio has had possession of the script since 2001 when John Claflin and Dan Zelman brought them the spec. Production on Fool's Gold is expected to start in Australia in late October. A 2008 release has been scheduled.
