Daintree Australia is home to one of the most ancient rainforests in the world. The Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation National Park are easily accessible from Port Douglas.
About 40 minutes north of Port Douglas and around 10km before Daintree Village, turn right to the Daintree River ferry crossing.
After crossing the Daintree river, you will experience the reef-fringed beaches and rainforest vistas that visitors from all over the world have come to treasure. This is Australia's largest remaining stand of tropical lowland rainforest, a unique refuge for unique plants and animals with a history stretching back over 140 million years.
Cape Tribulation is approximately 36 km north of the Daintree river ferry. The road is sealed all the way to Cape Tribulation enabling year-round access.
